Kiski Upper Elementary School band director Shelley Insko commissioned me to write an original piece for her 6th grade concert band. She told me that she wanted somebody to write something quirky, so she called me. I believe that to be a compliment. ;-)
Anyhow, during this rehearsal visit I'll get to meet the wonderful young musicians who are working hard to premiere this new piece at the upcoming PMEA conference in Hershey. I can't wait!
